TRENCHING & EXCAVATION SAFETY
Under Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, employers have a general duty to provide competent supervision to their workers involved in excavation and trenching operations. Trenching & excavation collapses are one of the major causes of critical injuries and fatalities in the construction industry.
